The People Behind the Peaks

"Crafted by pioneers. Guided by experts. Backed by precision.
At Himalayan Heliski, excellence is not a slogan — it’s our foundation."

Tailored by nature. Defined by altitude.

At Himalayan Heliski, we don’t just guide skiers — we craft transformative journeys into the world’s most majestic and remote terrain. Every expedition we design is the result of deep expertise, refined logistics, and an unwavering respect for the Himalayas — a land that demands humility and rewards only the bold.

We are not a travel agency. We are mountain specialists — skiers, guides, and explorers who have spent decades reading snowpack, chasing perfect lines, and building a philosophy where every detail is tailored to the individual. From your first briefing in Pokhara to the last turn carved at 12,500 feet, your experience is handcrafted — shaped by your level, your ambition, and your rhythm.

This is not just luxury for the sake of comfort — it’s precision, intention, and harmony with a fragile environment. We operate with full permits and local partnerships, minimizing our impact while maximizing your freedom. Our small-group format ensures safety, discretion, and the flexibility to adapt every day to the mountains, not the other way around.

To ski in the Himalayas is to enter a sacred space — one that challenges the body, centers the mind, and expands the soul. Our mission is to be your guide through that experience — not just with helicopters and gear, but with knowledge, care, and an enduring commitment to elevated adventure.

Because true luxury isn’t found in things — it’s found in moments that can’t be replicated.

Safety & Helicopter Operations

At Himalayan Heliski, safety is not just a priority — it’s a foundational commitment.
Our operations adhere to the most stringent international standards. In partnership with Heli-Everest, we work exclusively with certified helicopter pilots — of New Zealand, Italian, or French nationality — each extensively trained in high-altitude flight and mountain aviation.

All flights are carried out aboard state-of-the-art Eurocopter AStar B3+ helicopters, meticulously maintained to the highest aviation protocols. Each mission is supported by dedicated ground crews, ensuring real-time monitoring of weather patterns and avalanche conditions for optimal safety.

Our guiding team is composed entirely of UIAGM/ENSA-certified professionals with deep expertise in heli-assisted rescue, alpine navigation, and high-mountain risk management. Their knowledge, precision, and judgment are your ultimate safety net in this remote and powerful environment.

Before every trip, guests receive mandatory avalanche safety training and are equipped with:

  • Powder ski
  • Avalanche transceiver
  • Shovel & probe
  • Avalanche airbag pack
  • Harness

Permits & Regulations

Himalayan Heliski operates with full governmental authorization, in compliance with Nepalese Civil Aviation and Ministry of Tourism regulations. Our flight zones are carefully selected and approved in partnership with local communities, environmental authorities, and regional safety boards.

This level of compliance ensures not only legal integrity, but also long-term sustainability of the heli-skiing zones we explore.

Alexis Belhache

Co-Founder, Co-manager and lead guide

A lifelong mountain professional and true skier’s skier, Alexis Belhache is the co-founder and lead guide of Himalayan Heliski. With over 25 years of backcountry and heliski guiding, he brings deep expertise and quiet confidence to every expedition.

Certified in ski patrol rescue in 1996 and fully qualified as a ski instructor and ENSA off-piste/heliski guide, Alexis has spent decades guiding across the French Alps — from Courchevel to Chamonix. But it’s his passion for remote heli adventures that truly defines him.

From Alaska and British Columbia to Kamchatka, Elbrus, Bolivia, Japan, and Nepal, Alexis has explored and guided in some of the wildest terrain on Earth. He’s flown from Mont Blanc’s glaciers, ridden untouched lines in Corsica and Greece, and led heli-expeditions deep into the Himalayas.

At Himalayan Heliski, Alexis embodies our vision: returning to the roots of heliskiing — first descents, raw exploration, and shared human experience in the world’s highest mountains.

Eric Lacas

Co-Founder, Co-manager and lead guide

A former World Cup skier with the French National Team (1998–2002) and off piste & heliski guide fully qualified from ENSA (Chamonix), Eric Lacas has spent the last two decades exploring the world’s most remote mountain ranges, becoming a recognized expert in off-piste and heliski adventures across five continents.

In 2015, he founded L’Or Blanc to redefine the heliski travel experience — moving away from one-size-fits-all packages to offer handcrafted expeditions that reflect the unique rhythm, skill, and spirit of each skier.

At Himalayan Heliski, Eric brings this same vision to life in the heart of the Himalayas. Every expedition is curated with precision: from terrain selection to group composition and safety strategy, nothing is left to chance. His profound mountain knowledge, sharp eye for conditions, and passion for sharing unforgettable moments make each journey truly exceptional — not just a ski trip, but a personal adventure carved into the world’s most legendary terrain.
